For certain applications, the stable and exactly adjustable temperature (above ambient) and humidity play a crucial role in the creation of physiologically ideal environment conditions for the chamber load. The HCP humidity chambers in the Memmert-programme are equipped with a controller of the Perfect class.

Standard fittings of HCP humidity chambers: an active humidifying system controlling the humidity content via a hot steam generator. This evaporates specific doses of distilled water from an external supply tank and mixes the sterile hot steam with the air stream. This provides the HCP humidity chamber with a work range of 20 - 95% relative humidity.

The advantages: a wide range of applications, little risk of contamination and short recovery times after opening the door.

A multifunctional, fuzzy-supported PID process controller, with permanent performance adjustments and integrated self-diagnosis system, guarantees absolutely reliable temperature control and realistic conditions for perfect environment simulations.

  • Temperature range with activated humidity control 20 °C (at least 8 °C above ambient) to 90 °C with a display accuracy of 0.1 °C; 20 °C to 160 °C with deactivated humidity control
  • Automatic sterilisation programme via the Memmert STERICard for 4 hours at 160 °C. All sensors and fittings can remain installed during sterilisation
  • Multiple overtemperature protection: If the electronic heating control should fail, heating is switched off at a fixed level of 3 °C above the setpoint. An adjustable overtemperature controller TWW protection class 3.1 takes over control in case of failure  at a preset temperature. ASF Automatic Safety Function - a unique safety function - for over- and undertemperature automatically following the setpoint in a freely selectable tolerance range. An alarm sound is activated in case of over- /undertemperature, and the heating is switched off in case of overtemperature. In addition a mechanical temperature limiter, TB, switches off heating permanently if the maximum permitted oven temperature is exceeded by approx. 10 °C.
  • 2 high-grade platinum temperature sensors Pt 100 in a 4-wire circuit (for stable long-term transmission of measurement signals) communicate with each other and ensure uninterrupted error-free temperature control at constant working temperature
  • Digital programme control (programmable to the minute) for temperature profiles consisting of up to 40 ramps
  • Weekly timer programmable to the minute
  • Simultaneous display of all parameters, such as temperature, humidity, weekday, time, number of ramp
  • Visual and acoustic alarm in case of over-/undertemperature, excess/lack of humidity, if water tank is empty or if door is opened
  • Alphanumeric text display in different languages (D/UK/E/F/I)
  • Function signals for stand-by, operating mode, heating and over/undertemperature and for water supply container
  • Internal log memory with 1024kB to save temperature, humidity and error states, with timestamp to the minute
  • Chip card control including 1 MEMoryCard XL with 32 kB memory capacity (max. 40 ramps)
  • Serial USB-interface and software Celsius to read out the appliance's internal log memory
  • Parallel printer interface for printout of log data via an external PCL3-compatible inkjet printer (USB available via converter)
