Precise temperature control in the laboratory

For standard heating tasks in the laboratory, the Basic class is recommended for our waterbath. An electronic PID controller with an integrated self-diagnosing system, as well as a high-quality platinum temperature sensor Pt100 ensure exact temperature control. The double protection from overtemperature provides valuable protection for the load in the Memmert heating bath for the medium water.

Technical specifications

  • Temperature range: 10 °C to 95 °C plus boiling stage
  • Temperature variation (time): < ±0.5 °C at 95 °C
  • Double overtemperature protection: If the electronic heating control should fail, heating is switched off at a fixed level of 10 °C above the setpoint. In addition a mechanical temperature limiter, TB, switches off heating permanently if the maximum permitted bath temperature set at the factory is exceeded by 30°C, or if the fluid level is too low.
  • A high-quality platinum temperature sensor Pt100 (DIN class A) in a 4-wire circuit (for stable long-term transmission of measurement signals)
  • Programmable digital timer (1 min. to 99 hrs 59 min. with adjustment to the minute) for setting the Delay (delayed programme start) as well as Hold (residual operation time)
  • Visual alarm if set temperature is exceeded by more than 10 °C and if heating is switched off by temperature limiter TB
