Technologies applied

Control technology

In terms of thermal safety and operating comfort, the highest Memmert controller class is uncompromisingly perfect.

Heating/cooling technology

The Peltier technology is particularly economical at temperatures close to the ambient temperature.

Storing industrial or microbiological samples in a space-saving manner

Why optimise the performance of a cooled incubator unnecessarily for rapid changes in temperature? The IPS temperature control storage chamber exactly meets the requirements of the food or cosmetics industry, medicine, pharmaceutics for storing samples at constant temperatures: absolute reliability, precision and durability, and particularly environmentally friendly at the same time.

With its extensive range of appliances with Peltier elements for heating and cooling – such as the IPP Peltier-cooled incubator, the IPS cooled incubator for storing samples at constant temperatures, the HPP constant climate chamber and the Peltier-cooling unit for waterbaths – Memmert is the market leader in this technologically sophisticated segment.

  • Temperature range 14℃ to 45 ℃
  • Generous chamber volume of 749 litres
  • State-of-the-art control technology based on the P performance class
  • Double doors as standard: Prevention of contamination and drops in temperature, and at the same time an optimal view of the load through fully glazed interior doors
  • Forced air circulation ensures rapid energy transport and optimal temperature distribution

Whether storing or incubating – the right cooled incubator for every application

Since our IPS temperature control storage chamber, designed specifically for storing samples, does not require a compressor, it saves valuable space in the laboratory, just like its brother, the IPP Peltier-cooled incubator with a chamber volume from 32 to 749 litres. For applications requiring rapid changes in temperature, the Memmert ICP compressor-cooled incubator is recommended.

Stainless steel – a temperature control storage chamber (almost) for ever

60 years of permanent development work, as well as numerous amounts of feedback from practical experience, are embodied in each of our appliances:

  • The modular manufacturing concept in accordance with the principle of equal parts enables a highly varied and cost-effective production
  • Almost exclusive use of high-quality, corrosion-resistant and easily cleanable stainless steel for the working chamber and housing
  • Heating concept adapted to the specific product for a precise and homogenous temperature control independent of chamber volume and load
  • A wide range of options for programming and documentation using interfaces, Celsius software, integrated log memory and chip cards (features dependent on the controller class)
  • Three-year guarantee for appliances except wear and tear parts
  • The temperature values of all storage chambers are measured according to DIN 12880:2007-05
  • Each IPS temperature control storage chamber is safety-tested and bears this sign:

Products of interest

HPP constant climate chamber

Peltier technology as well as active humidification and dehumidification in the constant climate chamber are optimally adjusted to ongoing-stability tests and long-term material tests.

ICP cooled incubator

Breeding, storing and incubating microbiological samples: The Memmert compressor-cooled incubator excels with its fast and precise alternation of heating up and cooling down phases. In addition, it is pleasantly quiet and runs smoothly.

Solutions in practice

Application zoology

Breeding bees in the Peltier-cooled incubator: The Würzburg BEEgroup is carrying out basic research into the health of bees.

Material test

The Fraunhofer-Institut IKTS Dresden performs research using the Memmert constant climate chamber and demonstrates that humidity has an effect on source materials and intermediate products during the manufacture of hard metals.
