Important information: warning of phishing attacks

We would like to draw your attention to a serious IT security theme. We have recently been informed of several cases of fraudulent activity involving suspected criminals posing as Memmert employees. The aim of these so-called ‘phishing attacks’ is to gain the trust of our partners and customers with a view to persuading them to change the banking details for pending payments.

Masquerading as Memmert, attempts have been made to contact our partners and customers using a fake email address. The email address used had been only very slightly modified and had the following ending:

…@memmerts.com

Important: Memmert employees always send emails from the official email address which ends with the domain:

…@memmert.com

You should definitely not trust anyone claiming to be a Memmert employee if the email address used is incorrect!

If you are in any doubt whatsoever as to the identity of the sender, please get in touch with your usual Memmert partner. Under no circumstances should you change the banking details for your payment without speaking to your contact first!

If you have received such emails, please get in touch with us at info@memmert.com
