Now that the Memmert subsidiary in Shanghai has begun its second year with great success, we are embarking on the next step of our Asian activities: a representation in India.
Well-educated and skilled personnel, growth markets in pharmaceutics, biotechnology and research – there are lots of good reasons to be active in India. We are very pleased to have Shailesh Bhat as a Memmert representative in India. Since 1st November 2011, this experienced mechanical engineer and sales expert has been supporting our local distributors on the Indian subcontinent from Pune. This city with over five million inhabitants in the state of Maharashtra, situated in a fantastic landscape, is famous for its historical heritage, its cultural diversity and its booming industry. Since it is just 150 kilometres from Mumbai, one of the world's largest metropolitan regions, the most important economic centre in India is within easy reach.
The fact, that one of the first Memmert devices ever exported went to the Indian market, is a lucky omen according to Shailesh Bhat. For more than 50 years now Memmert maintains business relationships with Indian dealers and Memmert heating and drying ovens with their unique all-round large-area heating are a widely-used generic term for excellent quality. Thus starting conditions for the expansion of the dealer network couldn't be better.
One task will be particularly close to Shailesh’s heart in future: the on-site training of technical service. Because it doesn’t matter where on the globe our appliances are, an excellently trained specialist for commissioning and maintenance is never far away.
