Memmert's most innovative technology

Memmert is the technology leader for Peltier laboratory appliances and, with its Advanced Peltier Technology, clearly stands out from comparable appliances from other manufacturers - this is also proven by various studies. Since we want our partners and customers to experience the unique Peltier effect first-hand and thus understand the effect even better, we have created an application that allows you to do so.

Memmert is the technology leader for Peltier laboratory appliances and, with its Advanced Peltier Technology, clearly stands out from comparable appliances from other manufacturers - this is also proven by various studies.

Not only does this technology offer top accuracy in the operation of climate and temperature control appliances, it is also highly impressive when it comes to energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness. What’s more, the implementation of Peltier technology clearly reflects the fact that Memmert attaches great importance to the issues of sustainability and environmental protection – both in word and deed.

The company constantly strives to develop products which offer the highest level of efficiency and environmental compatibility. This, in turn, enables sustainable business practices for Memmert’s customers too. Furthermore, this underlines the fact that Memmert is an absolute pioneer when it comes to sustainability.

Since we want our partners and customers to experience the unique Peltier effect first-hand and thus understand the effect even better, we have created an application that allows you to do so.

You wondered how our devices work and always wanted to get an insight into the functioning? Then feel free to dive into the 360° mode and let us show you what your eyes cannot see: The exact functioning of a Peltier element, which is installed in our constant climate chamber HPPeco and in the Peltier-cooled incubator IPPeco.

With just one click, you can view precise descriptions of the individual components as well as all the important figures, data, facts and the performance of our units.

Particularly exciting? The application shows you the power consumption, the electricity costs and the CO2 emissions saved in a temperature range of 0-70 °C and for any runtime.

Curious now? Then explore the Memmert world for yourself. Find the application here.

What exactly is Peltier technology and how does it work?

The Peltier principle combines heating and cooling in a single system. If a voltage is applied to the contact points of a Peltier element, part of the energy is converted into heat, so that one side of the element heats up. Energy is extracted from the other side of the element, so that it cools down. With the Peltier principle, one side of the element cools down while the opposite side heats up at the same time. By simply reversing the polarity of the supply voltage, the hot and cold sides of the Peltier element can be swapped -  in a Memmert device, this happens up to 18,000 times per second, enabling an extremely precise temperature control.

What are the advantages of Advanced Peltier Technology?

Advantages Advanced Peltier Technology

Advanced Peltier Technology has many advantages: Peltier devices are up to seven times more energy-efficient than comparable units, more economical, more precise, more powerful and quieter.
This makes Peltier technology an excellent alternative to compressor technology.

A practical example?

Let's take our constant climate chamber HPPeco with Peltier Technology as an example: The climate chamber with Advanced Peltier Technology works in continuous operation around 90 % more energy-efficient than compressor-cooled devices, does not require any refrigerant and is therefore practically maintenance-free. Due to its quiet operation, it is also suitable for cultivating living organisms such as insects or zebrafish. Our climate chamber is used in areas such as cosmetics, food, as well as environmental and material testing. You can download the brochure here.
