Over the weekend, we celebrated Memmert's 90th anniversary with our valued partners, customers, and colleagues. Thank you for being part of the Memmert Family and for the partnerships built on trust, reliability, and commitment. This family atmosphere and fantastic collaboration have allowed us to shape the world of climate and temperature control devices with our ideas, solutions, and products. Therefore, we would like to start by saying THANK YOU. Thank you for the many years of loyalty, trust, and dedication. We are especially happy that our esteemed partners and customers made their way to Büchenbach to celebrate this special occasion with us.
We would also like to thank everyone who actively helped with the preparations in the weeks leading up to the event and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Without all of you, this would not have been possible!
From Wednesday, June 17th, to Friday, June 30th, several free sales and service training sessions were held at our two locations in Schwabach and Büchenbach, including lunch from our own three chefs. From m360 to International After Sales, product presentations, and marketing workshops, here was an interesting topic for everyone. An optional trip to a Franconian beer garden on Wednesday evening ensured lively exchanges.
The crowning event was the evening event on Friday. From 3 pm, the first guests gathered to engage in conversations over delicious drinks and snacks at the pool bar or in one of the cozy seating areas. Those who wanted to explore the facility had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive factory tour or admire the surroundings from the crane balloon. After an emotional speech by our managing director, Mrs. Christiane Riefler-Karpa, the buffet was opened, offering a variety of pasta and meat dishes, local fish, burgers, and a cocktail bar. The entertainment included a magician and caricaturist, while the live band and DJ brought up the lively atmosphere and a full dance floor. It was an unforgettable event, filled with emotions and attended by not only familiar but also many new faces and friends.
The 90th anniversary celebration continued on Saturday with our Open Day. From 11 am, we opened our doors to curious visitors and job seekers from the entire region, and we were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic feedback! Shortly after the opening, a long queue of visitors formed at the stop of the shuttle train and the starting point of the factory tours, several of which ran simultaneously due to high demand.
In the HR area, visitors could learn about our nine training occupations at various stations or even try them out themselves. At the refrigeration technology booth, they could create a keychain out of copper pipes, solder a circuit board with LEDs in the electronics section, repair a laptop in the IT area, or gain hand-on experience on programming. At the mechatronics booth, our guests could fold sheet metal animals and have fun in the "Game Zone" with a virtual reality table football and the new apprentice project "Memmert Pinball Chamber."
Once they left the HR area, they were immediately captured by the delicious aroma of our food trucks: Suppdiwupp, ColdCuts, Korean Bowls, and the grill station from TSG 08 Roth tempted everyone with tasty soups, sandwiches, traditional Korean bowls, and classics like sausages and steak sandwiches. They could also enjoy a refreshing treat from the ice cream truck provided by Eiscafé DeRocco. Our young visitors had a great time on the bouncy castle, playing football darts, and trying the Waterwalk. Thanks to the beautiful weather, our visitors could also enjoy a wonderful view of the surroundings from the crane balloon.
From 6 pm, our employees were finally able to relax a bit, chat with each other, enjoy good food and music, and dance into the night.
