Team Memmert successful at Run&Bike

Under the pretext of “fun race”, the very popular but demanding team event Run&Bike took place on the Heidenberg for the 11th time. Of course, our boys and girls started again just like last year.

It is a very fierce competition: two athletes have to tackle approximately 17 km up and downhill over rough and smooth through the forest together and share a bicycle. In the end, not only endurance and fitness decide between victory and defeat but also the tactic of taking turns.

Despite all efforts and ambition, fun is still what counts in this season. Many teams are put together in a happy mix and have very funny names.

Appropriate for the course, Bianca Schubert from Team Memmert and Sandra Stopp from Team Arndt started under the moniker of “Getting Tough”. Coming in 4th in the women's ranking, they only narrowly missed the podium. Another Memmert Arndt duo that started was made up by Matthias Grosser and Benedikt Reitwiesner. Dressed as Santas, they also came in 4th in the team ranking.

As the family duo "father&son", Sebastian and Uwe Reinwand surpringly became winners of the day. It was a surprise because the running specialist in the Memmert jersey passed on the chance to relax on the bike and instead ran the entire distance.
