10, 25, 30 years! There is a good tradition in our company that many of our employees start off at an early age at Memmert and remain young at heart with us. Carsten Angermeyer, technical manager and Jürgen Gambert, commercial manager at Memmert, honored three people celebrating their anniversaries for their many years of loyalty to the company.

A good time was had by all at this year's Memmert summer barbecue despite almost arctic temperatures.

The first meeting of the Chinese trade partners of Memmert since the opening of the Chinese branch in September 2010 took place in Shanghai on March 17th and 18th.

The spring meeting of the export controls, customs and export practice working groups of the SPECTARIS industry association took place at Memmert from April 6 to 7, 2011.

Numerous companies from our region now have branch offices in Shanghai. This is why our local vocational school organises a trip to the Chinese metropolis every three years. Our trainee Lisa Schwab was part of it from 26 February to 11 March 2011.

 

In the Chinese year of the tiger Memmert has opened its first branch sales office. Red was the unifying element of the colourful ceremony with which the era of Memmert Shanghai (Trading) Co. Ltd. in China began on 11th of September 2010 in the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum.

On July 29th, 2010, Memmert officially began operating the most modern punching and bending line in Europe at its Büchenbach factory. With a total of 3 million Euros, this is at the same time one of the largest investments in the company’s history.

Georg Salbaum, at Memmert since 1964 and most recently in the dispatch department, began his retirement after 46 years at work. If you wanted to have a chat with Georg Salbaum on July 29th, 2010, you almost had to queue up.

 

On Wednesday, July 21st, 2010, an Egyptian delegation stopped over at Memmert on the invitation of Bayern International. Under the motto “Fit for Partnership”, the Bavarian Ministry of Economics has since 2004 been inviting international specialists and managers to Bavaria.
