Preparations for the ACHEMA 2012 at Memmert had been in full swing for months, because the largest trade fair in the world for chemical technology, process technology and biotechnology, held every three years, is certainly one of the highlights of the laboratory branch. By the opening on 18th June, all the details had been clarified and a spectacular exhibition stand provided the backdrop for an exciting premiere: The presentation of the new Generation 2012 appliances.
The colours of the exhibition stand were all red and blue, to symbolise hot and cold. The new appliances were presented prominently on three levels at the sides and an adventure tunnel provided an opportunity, with videos and a fascinating interplay of colour, to leisurely explore the new products according to the principle of “touch, turn & go!“ and to have a relaxed conversation. In the following days, hundreds of visitors from an astounding 65 countries could be welcomed. Although the new presentation of the Generation 2012 appliances had remained a surprise until just a few days before the trade fair opened, many of Memmert’s longstanding customers had already registered in advance for product training seminars being held in parallel. Away from the hustle and bustle of the trade fair the new convenience features, such as the changed door construction, the AtmoCONTROL software or the two model variants SingleDISPLAY and TwinDISPLAY were exlained in detail.
For many Memmert employees from the Buechenbach factory, the R&D department and the administrative departments such as Purchasing and Accounting, the management had come up with a special surprise. In order to come into direct contact with customers and to experience the launch of the Generation 2012 close up, they were able to spend a day at the trade fair in Frankfurt. Those who were there on the first day had the special pleasure of joining in a truly magical trade fair evening in the Frankfurt Union Halle and mingling with the customers, many of whom had come from far away. After managing director Christiane Riefler-Karpa had welcomed her dinner guests and personally thanked many Memmert employees for their hard work and commitment in developing the Generation 2012, she invited guests to a festive 3-course dinner. On stage afterwards, magician Stephan Kirschbaum captivated an enthusiastic audience and later in the evening kept on showing visitors amazing tricks. Those who wanted could have a dance, relax at the coffee bar or watch the live broadcast of the European Football Championship.
Slightly tired but very satisfied stock of the situation was taken on the last day of the trade fair. “Your needs have set the pace.” – The wishes and requirements of customers determine the speed of our developments – this was one of the statements that welcomed visitors to the Memmert stand. The hugely positive resonance to the new Generation 2012 appliances had then once again impressively confirmed this Memmert philosophy.
