Memmert is a family-run company firmly rooted in the region of Central Franconia. Responsibility towards employees and business partners has always been a tradition. Support is given whether in sickness or personal problems and as thanks we receive decade-long loyalty and trust.
Today, sustainable corporate management at Memmert is evident in many facets. Environmental awareness, concern for society in general and social commitment have expanded corporate responsibility over the years.
For many years at Christmas time, Memmert gives a generous 5-digit sum to the SOS Children's Village. The idea of founder Hermann Gmeiner is as relevant today as it has ever been because there are still children who are growing up without parents or who cannot be properly cared for in their families. Hermann Gmeiner would probably never have imagined that his first SOS Children's Village, established in 1949, would grow to become a global organisation which, hand in hand with institutions such as SOS Children and Youth Service or SOS Job and Training centres, fosters the social and career development of children and adolescents.
Memmert has also provided assistance following the devastating flood catastrophe in Pakistan, church renovation in Büchenbach as well as the establishment of a bush school in Senegal. And even the employees have been doing things for a good cause, for example when they cycled for the Nuremberg Tafel e.V. or had a barbecue to collect money for the campaign "Trösterteddy" (comforting teddy bears).
