On the OLWO site, BKW AEK Contracting AG (BAC) operates the district heating plant, which is fueled by wood chips generated during wood processing. For the wood product to function reliably as an energy source, one thing is essential: consistent moisture content – and precise measurement.
To reliably determine the moisture content of the wood chips, OLWO relies on the Memmert Universal Oven UF55. The device was selected in collaboration with our partner WISAG and tailored precisely to the local needs.
The intelligent combination of a circulating air fan and flap control ensures that the moisture generated during the drying process is actively removed – unlike conventional devices where moisture accumulates inside.
