A Week of Holiday Childcare at Memmert

The summer holidays are a great time for children. For parents, however, six weeks without school or kindergarten often require quite a bit of organisation. That is why Memmert once again offered holiday childcare for employees’ children from 17 to 21 August 2026. The children were dropped off in the morning and picked up again in the afternoon. In between, they enjoyed a varied programme full of activities, creativity and shared experiences.

Spending the Day Together

Each morning started with breakfast together. Depending on the day’s programme, the children then headed outside, got creative at the craft table or simply started playing. Football, tag and hide-and-seek were just as much part of the programme as painting, crafts and various sports activities.

English was included too – but without traditional lessons. Through English Bingo, singing and dancing together, the children could discover and practise new words in a playful way. After lunch together, the afternoon continued with more games and activities.

Over the course of the week, this created a colourful mix of movement, learning and time spent together. Sometimes the children were running around, sometimes crafting, sometimes singing and dancing. Most importantly, they had fun, tried new things and enjoyed their holidays together.

A Visit to the Bees

A special experience awaited the group on Friday. The children visited a beekeeper in Büchenbach, where they learned how bees live, how a bee colony is organised and how honey is made. There was plenty to discover – and, of course, plenty of questions to ask. The visit was a great way to round off a week filled with many different experiences.

Making Work and School Holidays Easier to Combine

For many parents, arranging childcare during the summer holidays is a challenge every year. With our holiday childcare programme, we provide practical support for our employees and their families. While parents were able to focus on their work, their children were well looked after and spent their days together with other children.

At the end of the week, there were plenty of little memories to take home: breakfasts together, football matches, games of tag, arts and crafts, English Bingo and the visit to the beekeeper. And when a game still needs to be finished before it is time to go home in the afternoon, that is probably a pretty good sign that the children enjoyed their week at Memmert too.

Always ahead for you.

2026 – A year full of innovations.
