Childcare on the Day of Repentance and Prayer - A Memmert Day to Remember!

For working parents, the Day of Repentance and Prayer can be a challenge. Schools are closed, but the workday continues. At Memmert, we understand how important it is to support our employees and have their backs, even in such moments. That’s why we offered full-day childcare on this special day. For us, this isn’t just about organization; it’s a testament to our commitment to the well-being of our employees and their families.

A Warm Start to the Day

The day began bright and early as 20 cheerful school-aged children were warmly welcomed in our cafeteria. After a quick icebreaker game and a delicious breakfast to fuel their energy, the children embarked on an exciting day full of adventures.

“It was important to us to offer the children not just supervision, but a day filled with fun and variety. At the same time, we wanted to support our employees by alleviating their childcare concerns,” explained Franziska Lang from the HR department. “The smiles on the children’s faces and the relief of the parents are our greatest reward.”

Creativity and Technology – Arts, Crafts, and Experiments

The first workshop block began after breakfast, running from 10 to 12. There was something for everyone:

  • Sports activities for those eager to burn off energy
  • Creative workshops featuring arts, crafts, baking, and painting
  • Tech sessions where young tinkerers experimented and explored

The children had the chance to try new things and let their imaginations run wild, making this part of the day both educational and entertaining.

A Shared Lunch

At midday, the children enjoyed a tasty meal in our cafeteria. This was a relaxed opportunity to recharge, make new friends, and share stories about their adventures so far. The shared meal fostered connection and set the stage for even more fun.

A Special Workplace Tour with Parents

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the post-lunch workplace tour. Curious and excited, the children visited their parents’ workstations, gaining a unique glimpse into where their parents work and what happens behind the scenes at Memmert.

“For both children and parents, this was a special moment,” shared Franziska Lang. “It strengthened their bond and reinforced our values of family and unity here at Memmert.”

More Fun in the Afternoon

The excitement didn’t end there. From 2 to 4 pm, the children dove into a second block of activities. They got creative again, played games, and tackled new challenges in sports and tech. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and the joy of shared experiences.

A Day Full of Smiles and Happy Memories

This day demonstrated just how valuable a family-friendly work environment can be. Parents could focus on their work, knowing their children were in safe hands, while the kids enjoyed a thrilling day of fun, creativity, and learning.

“The childcare on the Day of Repentance and Prayer reflects our commitment to social responsibility at Memmert. We deeply care about the happiness of our employees and are delighted to support their well-being,” concluded Franziska Lang.

It was a successful day for the children, parents, and Memmert – and we look forward to many more events that highlight the importance of family and satisfaction in our workplace culture.

Conclusion

The childcare initiative on the Day of Repentance and Prayer was a resounding success. With heart, dedication, and fun, we created a day that showed our employees and their families: Memmert is more than just a workplace – Memmert is family.
